Eligible Criteria for NIT Mizoram Recruitment 2015

Educational qualification:
1) Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor: Candidates should have possess Ph.D.
2) Registrar: Candidates should have possess Masters degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade B in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized Institute / University.
3) TA (System): Candidates should have possess 1st class Bachelors Honours Degree in Sciences in relevant subject or equivalent grade from a recognized University / Institute. Or 1st class Diploma in Engineering in relevant field with excellent academic record. Or Post-graduate degree in science or B.E. / B.Tech. in relevant field from a recognized University / Institute.
3) Technician (Civil Engg.): Candidates should have possess Higher Secondary (10+2) from a recognized board and ITI course of 1 year or higher duration in appropriate trade. Or Class 10 with 60% marks and ITI Certificate of 2 years duration in appropriate trde. Or Diploma in Engineering of 3 years duration from a recognized Institute / Polytechnic.

Experience and Other essential requirements:
1) Professor: Experience required for the post 10 years after Ph.D. / 13 years (not counting Ph.D. enrolment period) out of which 7 years are to be after Ph.D. At least three years to be at Associate Professor level in an institution of repute. 2 Ph.D. degrees guided in career as sole or principal supervisor. The following during the past four years: (a) 3 papers in SCI journals, (b) 1 high value sponsored or consultancy project, (c) Academic outreach activity equivalent to 2 self financed courses offered as coordinator and main teacher. (d) 2 experiments or computational design projects added to teaching laboratories where appropriate.
2) Associate Professor: Experience required for the post 6 years after Ph.D, / 9 years total (not counting Ph.D. enrolment period), out of which 3 years should be after Ph.D. and as Assistant Professor with AGP of Rs.8000/- or equivalent in a reputed university, R and D Lab. or relevant industry. 4 papers in SCI journals after Ph.D., 1 Ph.D. guided as sole or principal supervisor plus 1 continuing. 2 projects ongoing / 1 ongoing plus 1 completed. 2 experiments or computational projects added to teaching laboratories where appropriate.
