NRA CET Exam 2020 – Common Eligibility Test: The Union Cabinet has approved to set up the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) for a big change in the present recruitment system. At present, candidates have to appear for separate examinations conducted by several recruiting agencies for various posts and they also have to pay fees to those recruiting agencies. Moreover, candidates have to travel long distances to appear for various examinations. But if a common eligibility test will be conducted then candidates can appear once and apply to any or all of these recruitment agencies for the higher level of examination. The NRA will conduct a single online test Common Eligibility Test (CET). This examination is the replacement of multiple examinations conducted by different recruiting agencies.

NRA CET Exam Date

1. CET will be conducted twice a year.
2. For graduate-level, 12th Pass level, and 10th pass level recruitment examination, there will be different CETs.
3. This examination will be conducted in 12 major Indian languages.
4. This test will be a first level test to shortlist candidates and the score will be valid for three years.

NRA CET Syllabus 2021

Advantages for students:-
1. Candidates need not appear in multiple examinations.
2. Candidates have to pay a fee for a single examination in spite of multiple exams.
3. Candidates can attain examinations in their own districts. So, the woman candidates will be encouraged to apply for govt jobs.
4. Applicants are required to register on a single Registration portal.

Advantages of CET:-
1. CET is to screen candidates at the first level for SSC, RRBs, and IBPS. So candidates need not appear to multiple examinations conducted by those agencies.
2. CET will be conducted for the Graduate, the Higher Secondary (12thpass), and the Matriculate (10th Pass) candidates.
3. CET will be conducted in every district, so Rural youth, women, and disadvantaged candidates can appear easily for examination.
4. For CET, Multiple Examinations will be Out.
5. CET is a first stage screening of eligible candidates.

Common Eligibility Test Syllabus

National Recruitment Agency (NRA):-
A multi-agency body called the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) will conduct a Common Eligibility Test (CET) to screen/shortlist candidates for the Group B and C (non-technical) posts. NRA will have representatives of the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Finance/Department of Financial Services, the SSC, RRB & IBPS. It is envisioned that the NRA would be a specialist body bringing state-of-the-art technology and best practices to the field of Central Government recruitment.

Advantages of Poor Candidates:-
For multiple examinations conducted by multiple agencies, candidates have to spend a large amount of fee including travel, boarding, lodging, etc. But the single test will reduce the financial burden on candidates.

Advantages of Women candidates:-
As CET will be conducted in the candidates’ own district, so the woman candidates especially of the ruler can appear the exam easily and the trouble of traveling will be reduced.

Multiple languages:-
The CET would be available in a number of languages. This would greatly facilitate people from different parts of the country to take the exam and have an equal opportunity of being selected.
