Eligibility Criteria for BSF Sub-Inspector, Head Constable & Constable Recruitment 2016
Age Limit & Relaxation:
Candidates Age should be less than 28 Years (25 Years for Head Constable Master Grade). The upper Age Limit will be relaxed by 05 Years for SC/ST and 03 Years for OBC Category candidates as per extent rules of Government.
Educational Qualification:
⇒ Sub-Inspector (Master): Senior Secondary (10+2) pass candidates with Second Class Master’s Certificate.
⇒ Sub-Inspector (Engine Driver): Senior Secondary (10+2) pass-out candidates with First Class Engine Driver Certificate.
⇒ Head Constable (Master): Candidates should have completed the Matriculation (10th) level of education with Serang Certificate.
⇒ Head Constable (Engine Driver): Candidates should have completed the Matriculation (10th) level of education with Serang Certificate with Second Class Engine Driver Certificate.
⇒ Head Constable (Workshop): The candidate must have completed 10th (Matriculation) from a recognized Board or Institution along-with ITI Diploma in Motor Mechanic (Diesel or Petrol Engine).
⇒ Constable (Crew): Candidates should have completed the Matriculation (10th) Level of Education from recognized Board or Institution with one year experience in operating of Boat below 265HP.
Selection Process:
Selection of the candidates will be based on performance in the Documents verification, Physical Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency Test followed by Medical Examination conducted by the Competent Authority.
Salary Scale:
Selected candidates will be placed in Regular Pay Scale as follows –
⇒ Sub-Inspector: Rs. 9,300 – 34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,200/-
⇒ Head Constable: Rs. 5,200 – 20,200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 2,400/-
⇒ Constable: Rs. 5,200 – 20,200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 2,000/-
Apart from this the candidates will entitle to get DA, HRA & Other allowances applicable as per Government rules.
