Candidate must have passed Matric (10th or equivalent) from a recognized board of Secondary Education.

a) Relaxable upto maximum age of 45 years for Ex-servicemen
b) Departmental Candidates of Chandigarh Police/ Chandigarh Police Personnel upto 40 years
c) Relaxation for wards of serving/retired/deceased Police Personnel (except dismissed, compulsory retired or removed from service) of Chandigarh Police
i) Relaxation of 2 years to the wards of serving/Retired Police Personnel of Chandigarh Police.
ii) Relaxation of 3 years to the wards of Police Personnel who died in service

Race For Sports Persons more than 35 years of age – (Male) – 1600 meters in 600 seconds (Female) – 800 meters in 390 seconds.
Long Jump (three attempts) For Sports Persons upto 40 years of age – 3.50 m (Male), 2.30 m (Female)
Long Jump For Sports Persons more than 40 years of age – Exempted
High Jump (3 attempts) For sports persons upto 40 years of age – 1.0 m (Male), 0.75 m (female)
High Jump For sports persons more than 40 years of age – Exempted
