Balagarh Bijoy Krishna Mahavidyalaya History: Balagarh Bijoy Krishna Mahavidyalaya is intercepted as the Undergraduate Degree College and the only higher learning institute in and around Balagarh Block situated at the east fringe of Hooghly District under the state of West Bengal. The institute was established in the year 1985 and is affiliated to the University of Burdwan, W.B. It is named after revered Late Bijoy Krishna Modak, the noted freedom fighter, renowned educationist and lifelong social activist. Indeed, late Bijoy Krishna Modak is the founding father of the College. The College is accredited by NAAC in the year 2007 and graded as C++.
