Eligibility Criteria for Municipal Service Commission Kolkata Recruitment 2017
Educational Qualification:
Assistant Engineer (Civil): The candidate should be a degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent and desirable qualification.
Sub-Assistant Engineer (Civil): The candidate should be a degree in Civil Engineering from the State Council for Engineering or Technical Education or its equivalent and one year practical Training / studying / research / practical engineering experience in the Municipal Engineering work.
Age Limit:
Candidates age limit should be not more than 37 years for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) and not more than 40 years for the post of Sub-Assistant Engineer as on 01.01.2016. Upper age limit is relaxable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
Scale of Pay:
Candidates will get pay of Rs. 15600-42000 + GP Rs. 5400/- (Post – 1)
Candidates will get pay of Rs. 9000-40500 + GP Rs. 4400/- (Post – 2)
