Eligibility Criteria for Department of Jails, Punjab Recruitment 2016- 267 Warders(Male)/ Matrons(Female) Posts
Age Limit & Relaxation:
Candidates minimum age should be 18 years and maximum age should be 25 years as on 1st January,2016. The cut-off date for this purpose shall be 01.01.2016. No relaxation will be given in age to any candidate. The upper age will be relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Educational Qualification:
The minimum educational qualifications shall be 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized education Board/University. The candidate must have also passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.
Selection Process:
Selection of the candidates will be based on Physical Measurement Test(PMT) and Physical Screening Test(PST).
Physical Measurement Test(PMT):
For Warders:
> Male: Minimum Height required 5’7″ and Chest 33′ Unexpanded/ 34-1/2′ Expanded
> Dogras/Gurkhas(Male): Minimum Height required 5’4-1/2″ and Chest 33′ Unexpanded/ 34-1/2′ Expanded
For Matrons:
> Female: Minimum Height required 5’3″ and Weight 50Kg & above
Scale of pay:
Candidates will get pay of Rs. 10,300-34,800/- with Grade Pay Rs. 3200/- and other allowances as admissible.
Application Fee:
As application fee, Candidates should paid Rs.400/- for GEN, Rs.100/- for SC/STBC & no fees for Ex-Servicemen.
