Pay Scale : Rs.5,200/- to Rs.20,200/- with GP Rs.2,800/- (PB-2).

Eligible Criteria For TNPSC Assistant Agricultural Officer Post

Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 years to 30 years as on 01-07-2015. No Maximum age limit for reserved categories candidates.

Education Qualification: Candidates must passed Higher Secondary Examination, Must possess two years Diploma in Agriculture from the Institutions recognized by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu and Must possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.

Selection Procedure: The candidates will be selected through written test and oral Interview. The shortlisted candidates from the written test will be called for an oral interview. The final selection will be made on the basis of the aggregate marks secured by the candidates in both written test and oral interview. The written test will be of 570 marks and questions will be on the following subjects:-
1. Paper-I:- Agriculture- Diploma Standard (200 Marks) (3 Hrs.)
2. Paper-II:- General Studies – HSC Standard (200 Marks) (2 Hrs.)
3. Interview and Record:- 70 Marks

Examination/Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay Rs.150/- (Application Fee Rs.50/- + Examination Fee Rs.100/-). Candidates claiming exemption from examination fee should pay Rs.50/- towards Application cost.
