Pay Scale : Rs.15,600/- to Rs.39,100/- with GP Rs.5,400/- (PB-3).

Eligible Criteria For Health Officer Post of TNPSC

Age Limit : Candidates age should be between 18 years to 35 years as on 01-07-2014. Age relaxation will be applicable s per Govt. rules.(No maximum age limit for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs of all Caste).

Education Qualification : Candidates must possess B.S.Sc degree of Institution recognized by the Medical Council of India or the Diploma in Public Health of the University of Calcutta OR A certificate of having undergone a special course of training in Sanitary Science in the Medical Colleges, Madras for a period of not less than one year and of having passed the examination for Licentiate in Public Health held at the end of that course.

Selection Process : The candidates will be selected through written test and oral Interview. The shortlisted candidates from the written test will be called for an oral interview. The final selection will be made on the basis of the aggregate marks secured by the candidates in both written test and oral interview. The written test will be of 500 marks and questions will be on the following subjects:-
1. Paper-I: 300 Marks
2. Paper-II: 200 Marks
The medium of examination will be in English

Examination/Application Fee : Candidates are required to pay Rs.175/- (Application Fee Rs.50/- + Examination Fee Rs.125/-). Candidates claiming exemption from examination fee should pay Rs.50/- towards Application cost.
