WBJEEB JELET Counselling Scheduled & Notification 2015 : West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board has given a notification of JELET 2015 Counselling. The WBJEEB shall have to conduct centralized counselling and admission process of the merit listed candidates seeking admission to 2nd years (3rd Semester) of Engineering / Pharmacy Degree Colleges / Institutions and Universities of West Bengal through Counselling under LATERAL ENTRY scheme in the academic session 2015 – 2016. And whereas for admission into the 2nd Year (3rd Semester) of Engineering / Pharmacy Degree courses, it is essential for the candidates to have appeared in the State Common Entrance Examination i.e. JELET – 2015 and to secure a rank, it has been decided by the State Government in the Higher Education Department to continue the admission process on the basis of the norms of the AICTE and other regulatory authorities, the following guidelines and instruction for centralized counselling and admission in the 2nd Year (3rd Semester) of Engineering / Pharmacy Degree course for academic session 2015-16. Guidelines for WBJEEB JELET Counselling Scheduled & Notification 2015
1. Eligibility Criteria : Diploma holders in Engineering / Technological / Pharmacy have to pass Diploma Examination from AICTE approved Institution with at least 45% marks considering all semesters / parts in Diploma examination without any back paper(s) (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category). B.Sc. Degree holders have to pass B.Sc. from a UGC recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and also have to pass higher secondary (10+2) with Mathematics as a subject. Diploma and B.Sc. Degree holders have to be merit listed in the JELET – 2015 conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board to become eligible for admission under Lateral Entry Scheme.
2. B.Sc. Degree holders are not eligible for admission to Jadavpur University. For admission to Jadavpur University H.S. (10+2) or equivalent examination passed diploma holders shall only be eligible.
3. B.Sc. Degree holders are also not eligible for admission to B. Pharm. Course under this scheme.
4. Candidates belonging to B.Sc. stream and taking admission to colleges affiliated to MACAUT shall have to pass in the subjects of Engineering Graphics, Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the 1st year Engineering & Technology programme along with the subjects offered in the second year of Engineering & Technology programme. B.Sc. candidates admitted through Lateral Entry programme to other universities may be prescribed similarly by the concerned university.
5. Age Limit : For B.Sc candidates, upper age limit is 27 years as on 31.12.2015.
6. Seat Matrix : Admission through lateral entry scheme shall be done for all the existing degree level Engineering/Technological/Pharmacy Colleges of the State under the purview of the Higher Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal with a seat matrix to be prepared and provided by the Director of Technical Education, Govt. of West Bengal for centralised counselling to be conducted by WBJEEB .
7. Reservation of seats for SC / ST / PWD / OBC-A / OBC-B is applicable to candidates of West Bengal only. SC / ST / PWD candidates of other states cannot avail of this facility.
8. Diploma holders in Fashion Technology course of Govt. Polytechnic Institution, Tripura, will be considered for admission to Degree level Apparel Production & Management course and Textile Technology course in Govt. College of Engg. & Textile Technology, Serampore and Berhampur under lateral entry scheme. The domicile criteria for admission to Govt. Engineering & Technology Colleges shall not be applicable in such cases.

Counselling Form and E-Challan :
Counselling Form (data populated) and e-challan can be down loaded from Board’s website
: www.wbjeeb.in from Thursday, August 13th, 2015. Candidates should bring the downloaded and duly signed Counselling form (as stated above) with them on the day of
counselling.
Counselling Fee : Candidates have to pay a non-refundable counselling fee of Rs.506/- through the duly filled in e-challan at any branch of Allahabad Bank. Candidates are instructed to bring the Board’s copy of the e-challan with them on the day of Counselling.
At the time of Counselling candidates should report with the following documents :-
- Downloaded Counselling form duly signed
- Print out of his / her rank card from Board’s website as mentioned in Sl. No. 3
- Board’s copy of the E-Challan (To be retained by the Board)
- JELET-2015 Admit Card – Original/Downloaded
- CASTE certificate in original (for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates of West Bengal only) issued by competent authority.
- Domicile Certificate issued by competent authority as mentioned in the Information
Brochure of JELET-2015, if the candidate seeks admission to Government Engineering and
Technology Colleges (not applicable for the candidates vide Sl. No. 14). - PWD certificate in Original (for PWD candidates of West Bengal only) issued by
competent authority. - The PWD candidates claiming seats under reserved category are required to satisfy
the under noted criteria:
For admission to BE / B Tech / B.Pharm courses –
For PWD (loco motor disorder, visual impairment, speech and hearing impairment) category
candidates a minimum of 40% disability is required subject to the condition that the
candidate is capable of carrying out all activities related to theory and practical works as applicable to BE/B.Tech/B.Pharm courses without any special concession and exemption.
