Eligible Criteria for Karnataka Forest Department Recruitment 2016
Educational Qualification: Candidates Should Must have passed Higher Secondary (12th) for Forest Guard Post and A Bachelors Degree at least one of the subject namely, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physic or a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Forestry from any recognized University or equivalent for Forest Ranger Officer post.
Physical Standards: Must possess the following physical Standards – Height and Chest:
Height- For male:- 163 cms, For Female:- 150 cms
Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be between 18 years to 27 years as on 01-01-2016. Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government rule.
Application Fee: For the candidates belonging to General Merit, IIA, IIIA, IIIB, the Application fee is Rs.100/- + Service Charge Rs.12/-. For the candidates belonging to SC, ST and Category-I the Application fee is Rs.50/- + Service Charge Rs.12/-.

Eligible Criteria for Karnataka Forest Watcher Post
Educational Qualification:
A. Deputy Range Forest Officer: A Bachelor’s Degree with at least one of the subjects namely, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognised University or equivalent.
B. Forest Guard: Must have passed II PUC or possess equivalent qualification on the date of notification.
C. Forest Watcher: Must have passed SSLC standard on the date of notification.
Physical Standards: Must possess the following physical Standards-
1. Height and Chest:
Height- For male:- 163 cms, For Female:- 150 cms
2. Chest:
For Male 79 cms minimum Exhalation.
For Female 74 cms minimum exhalation
Minimum expansion on inhalation 5 cms.
Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be between 18 years to 25 Years for Deputy Range Forest Officer post, between 18 years to 27 years for Forest Guard post & between 18 years to 30 years for Forest Watcher post as on 03-07-2015. Age relaxation will be applicable as per Govt. rules.
Application Fee: For the Candidates belonging to General Merit, IIA, IIIA, IIIB, the Application fee is Rs.100/- + Service Charge Rs.12/-. For the Candidates belonging to SC, ST and Category-I, the Application fee is Rs.50/- + Service Charge Rs.12/-.
